The Proposal & Interview Wildcards
BECAUSE UNDER A DEADLINE, WE'RE ALL A LITTLE WILD
From overly enthusiastic (to the point of distraction) to genuine stage fright and avoidance behavior, these all-too-familiar behaviors can derail the pursuit effort and jeopardize a great win strategy.
Check out the explainer video!

SENIOR MARKETING STRATEGIST
ALLISON TIVNON
Though fully plugged into the AEC industry, Allison stubbornly refuses to give up her classic flip phone. She's also holding strong with a landline, an alarm clock, and an actual paper map in her glove compartment.
OPERATIONS MANAGER
SUSAN O'LEARY
Susan can put a positive spin on any situation and believes every problem has a reasonable solution. If only her husband would allow it, she'd have an inspirational quote hanging on every wall.
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
KYLE DAVIS
In a previous life, Kyle swung a hammer as a third-generation carpenter. A lover of movies, hot sauce, and the Seattle SuperSonics, he once had a chance to catch a Ken Griffey Jr. foul ball but missed it.

DANIELLA PATTERSON
No stranger to the AEC industry, Daniella has previously provided in-house marketing for both architecture and engineering firms. Well-organized at work and at home, she recently purchased a spice rack to optimize space and alphabetize the spices (for fun!).
What are the Wildcards?
FOR MARKETERS, FROM MARKETERS
The longer you've supported pursuit efforts in the AEC industry, the more likely you've experienced teammates who overanalyze, dominate the conversation, procrastinate on providing input, or shirk deadlines altogether.
At Middle of Six, we affectionately call these characters The Wildcards. While it's rare to have multiple wildcards on any pursuit team (lord help us!), we're curious how many of these personalities you've encountered.
About the Project
All joking aside, we developed these caricatures, not to point fingers or embarrass anyone but to acknowledge that we ALL have "overdone strengths" that show up during stressful times.
Understanding how these behaviors impact your team could be just what's needed to invoke self-reflection and make a positive impact on the overall pursuit.
Curious how Middle of Six can help your team curb these behaviors?
Drop us a line so we can talk about proposal and interview training for technical staff, 1:1 coaching and marketing mentorship, and general on-call marketing support for busy teams.
